Hi I am not able to get past the waze location access screen on the LG classic flip phone. I tried the the adp shell input command and I even tried looping through different possibilities, like for ((i = 200; i < 500; i+=5)); do adb shell input tap 150 $i; done to no avail. I have confirmed that adp shell input tap is working.
When I go through waze launcher I get Uh oh No GPS Connection, I assume it's because I haven't enabled it in the screen above.
First thing I would do is make sure location is turned on in your phone's settings. also, if you are using WebADB make sure you leave out the words "adb shell".
JKing2 It's still not working. These are the steps I took,
- Allow location on phone
- Open Waze, it opens to a page titled Location Access
- Move cursor to the bottom left corner
- In Webadp, run
input tap 150 250

Make sure location is enabled in settings. Very often that is the issue.
Had that once. It was because I hadn't enabled location before starting the app. So I enabled location, Deleted the app and reinstalled it, and it worked.

@Jumptoheaven Thanks, that makes sense. @Apps4Flip-Admin do I need to factory reset my phone to uninstall an application?
@Jumptoheaven @Apps4Flip-Admin Uninstalling and Installing with location enabled worked! Now I have a problem where I can not move the cursor in Waze at all, perhaps to see the different routes. Is this not an option?
It only works to set it up the first time.
Ps you can use scrcpy (odds n ends page) to enable keep Waze on top. It takes you back to the mall while on a call.
Also you can add in your ez pass.
@Jumptoheaven I see, so we just have to always use the first route by default?
rand01201 how did you get voice access to work? I tried running the adb commands listed on the website and it returned an error.
Update: after seeing what mickrich347, and rand01201 wrote, I realized that you need to ignore all errors, and just run all the commands.

There is a problem on the phone where if you enabled voice access and you get a phone call, you hear a bunch of vibration/clicking noises for the first minute or so. I believe this is because once you get a phone call and you answer, voice access turns on and every time you speak it causes it to repeatedly make noise.
Also for waze I've had an issue where I put in one address in the launcher but it takes me to a different address in waze. I can see the different address when I go to waze -> history. For example I put in 1556 Coney Island avenue but it takes me to 346 Coney Island avenue.
rand01201 you can go to notifications and open voice access settings to disable this that voice access turns on when you get a call
@JKing2 Where are those settings on the LG classic flip? Wasn't able to find it, thanks.
anybody here that installed voice access on the LG CLassic and when getting a call its not announcing the name/number of the incoming call when phone is folded ?
did you actually try it?
even if the setting is turned off it will still announce on the lg classic
rand01201 go to notifications, when over voice access click options.
Someone told me that if you turn off the media volume, then it doesn't read the call aloud. I don't have the classic, so I can't try it myself.
Try it and report back.
Is anyone else having issues with Waze? I am still having the issue that the street is correct but the street number is essentially ignored and inaccurate. @Apps4Flip-Admin
Does anybody know if Once I'm unlocking the phone with total wireless will It also work with US mobile?

just for your knowledge total wireless is the same company from TracFone, and also net10, walmart family, safelink, and much more
So what's the cheapest plan that I can get?
Just a heads up that we have gotten a ton of emails with people having picture messaging issues with other carriers. If you need picture text stick to total wireless, otherwise the other carriers are fine.

That is good to hear.
Based on the emails and feedback that we hear it is hit or miss with a lot of people having problems with net10 and tracfone. ( People are more likely to email when there are problems then when there are not)
They are fine carriers otherwise so if you don't need picture text or are willing to take the risk for the 3$ discount, we recommend it.
Is there a way to unlock the phone (with out using service for a year) the LG classic to use with any Verizon SIM
I'm not able to reach my apps by clicking on the End button - only by going to notifications. How can I set that up? It says on the site that it will happen when installing the Launcher but it's not working by me. Thanks
So it seems like unlocking the LG classic from TracFone is pretty much impossible. Anyone have any luck using the US cellular version with other carriers?
Phoney I bought the Us Cellular one on E-bay and it works with T-Mobile. I called US Cellular probably 100 times and they said they don't lock their devices

Yms True that they don’t lock it. but for some reason when I tried it with a T-Mobile Sim it didn’t work. I couldn’t make phone calls or receive I was only able to use the browser and I got 4G data. did you do anything to make it be able to work?
