seems to be that the google maps app that was posted here is now not going to work as it wont let u use until its updated...this message is diff than the other outdated message because this one u cannot move forward unless u update....this is as of yesterday...this happened to me and a bunch more people that i installed the app for...anyone else received that message when opening the app?
ps. if someone can remodify a newer version....that would be very apppreeciated

This version works for me and if i remember correctly it once said to update and i was able to just press clear.

2) i use waze but i once tested it for a friend and i was able to clear the update and just now i reinstalled it on my phone to see if it workes and it did
Nhaaps By me it just downloaded an apk thats 0 kb, which obviously didnt work. I'm not sure if theres something wrong with the link, or just with my downloading it.

im using a lg classic and that version gave ma the same screen and cant clear it when i push clear it shuts the app
i tried getting a newer version to mod but was only able to find it in xapk so if anyone can find it in a apk file they can post it here and ill try to modify it

Flippy I used that method a few times to install xapks on my xp3, but there might be problems when trying to modify it, without going into detail, you can't modify each piece because some are not a full app, and you prob can't just modify the main one because then it prob won't work with the parts that haven't been modified. I'm thinking that maybe you can work around it by installing the xapk on a smartphone (or xp3) using the above method or the apkpure app, and then you can extract the app to apk using an apk extractor.
Techgen.....and then modify the apk? or modify it before? And can you really extract an XAPK and make it an APK?
Flippy And modify the apk. If you extract the xapk with 7-zip (or similar program) inside will be a bunch of apks, one main one, usually one for the dpi one for the architecture and a bunch for languages, you just off the English one. But being that it's all one app it needs to be installed as one package using the install-multiple command.
Flippy What I meant at the end with apk extractor is an app that will make an apk out of any app that's installed on the phone. So once you install the xapk onto a phone you should be able to extract it as a regular apk

I just pulled this apk from the play store and it works on my xp3 without any modifications, I didnt have time to modify it, but the good news is, its not making me crazy about google play services, im not sure if its because i had a working google maps before or this version doesnt need it for some reason. heres the apk below if anyone wants to modify it and test it on other phones.

Nhaaps K good. Interesting that you had that issue, this forum is a little buggy. I had some issue that the last character I typed didn't show up, now I always make sure to end with an extra period.
It's not allowing me to mod it.... prob because its such a sophisticated app. i think one of the guys on the apps4flip team should try and see if they can do it. also if anyone can post methods on how to get around these type of things, that would b great
