I want to wipe my Kyocera device, but i'm currently using Tracfone, so that doesn't allow for verizon backup, how can i backup or download all my messages for reference later on. or is there an app which i can install that would allow for me to transfer or put all the chats in a text format to be downloaded?

Although I can't change the backup location to the sd card, or to upload to google drive on my LG classic, you may be able to. Otherwise once you back it up you can copy and paste the file to your sd card or upload the file manually.
