As is well known, some Classic flips will delete all text messages at random times. To avoid this happening again, I am trying to get an app to backup my texts. I have tried many apps and the only one that I got to work, is "All Backup and Restore".
But it has several issues.
1) It doesn't backup MMS
2) If I try to change backup location to SD Card, it gives me an error that I have to change the permission.
3) If I try to backup to G Drive it crashes.
4) it doesn't have a setting to erase old backups automatically.
Can anyone recommend a better backup app that works well on the LG Classic?

mr-mayor Question: I have just recently heard of a similar issue of all info on the SD card being deleted on Lg classic phones. Is this the same/related issue?
I know someone who's entire calender got erased on the classic, did anyone hear of that?
Techgen Yes I've heard of that, same as the texts issue.
You can use the app I uploaded to backup the calendar as well. But it has the same limitations I mentioned.
I have modified an app that allowes to backup call log and messages on classic flip by uploading to one drive and restoring from one drive on the other device. Any experts want to make sure its kosher? I can send the apk

Myi I haven't been able to update it. But as a workaround it will still backup on your schedule. And if you need to get in to the app, you can delete the app and then reinstall it. You will be able to get into it one time or as long as you don't have data service.
I am having someone try to get rid of the backup requirement in the app. But no timeline or guarantees that he can do it.
Atusb Lev26 Everything in this thread until the last post was before I posted the SMS Backup Restore App. You could set up a recurring backup with. It seems to work fine for other people who have the Classic. FliphoneBochur
Does any one have any idea how to back up messages on a exalt that "shows" its memory is full (there's nothing on it), I want to factory reset it and restore the messages. The regular SMS back don't work because they use internal memory 1st before backing it up online?

kolelguy Which phone did you backup on, and which phone and you restoring to? Each phone has its own quirks when it comes to that app.
FliphoneBochur Bh I got it working I used OneDrive to upload every think there and then logged in on the other phone and it worked!

Both have their מעלות and חסרונות. This one is straightforward, simple, and gets the job done without too much hassle, while the other one has a bunch more additional features, but it could be a hassle. I think this is better than the one I posted.
What does everybody think?
Does any one why when I back up my messages with the back up app a lot of messages say unknown sender when I restore them and puts all the unknown messages in one group???????
801900Flip You're talking about your app? As far as I'm aware, mine never had this problem.
with either app, a lot of the messages get backed up as unknown callers.
801900Flip I've never had that issue on the many phones I've tried it on. Maybe it's an Exalt thing.
