I have a Kyocera cadence for many many years (since 2019), the last year or more every once in a while (once a month) i got this error "SIM card is not readable contact your service provider" - which was fixed by rebooting the phone.
Lately i have it every few hours.
any idea who is the culprit? the phone? the sim? both? or a third thing?

A) I'd say 1st Verizon and ask them to either see if it's a problem on their end.
B) If it's not a technical problem on their side, ask them to send you a new sim card. (Make sure to tell them you're keeping your phone number.)
C) If a new sim card doesn't work backup all your stuff and try a factory reset.

I think it's a sim card issue, so 1st try calling them and see what they say. Please get back if any advice helped. Thanks!

f691gf Its the phone. At some point in life happens to almost everyone I know that has that phone. Usually passes after a few days. Still unsure weather it is a hardware or software issue though.
