I installed the Boldbeast Phone Recorder and ran the proper command, but when i press the app in launcher it doesnt open. How do you operate this app?

I meant to post this, but I forgot. The app hasn't worked for me on the Alcatel Go Flip V and any Kyocera (Cadence, DuraXV, and others) I've tried it on. I tried a few manifest mods, but the app just doesn't start up.

I just tried getting the APK from boldbeast's site. It works fine now. UPDATE: Link Below

First Run: adb shell appops set com.android.cts.boldbeast.recorder SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW allow (If you're on WebADB, run the command without adb shell)
If the app isn't working, you can try this: close it, run adb shell pm clear --user 0 com.android.cts.boldbeast.recorder, and try launching the app again.
The recordings should save in internal storage.
If you can't click the record button with the D-pad, it should work with a mouse.
I'd say either first click record before the phone call or press options in the call before you turn on the mouse to click the button or else you'll end up dialing *********

I installed it and now the app opens up with the permission dialog. It says its on standby and shows a icon during a phone call, but I can't find the recording in the app or in internal settings. Also when I click on app settings the app stops. Also a notification c said that the app should be updated.

A) Did you check your internal storage? (It should be under Internal Storage > com.android.cts.boldbeast.recorder > rec)
B) I have no idea why it crashes when you try to enter settings. I'll try to look into that. You're on an Exalt, right?
C) Just ignore the update prompt. The app works fine, and when you try to hit update it takes you nowhere, so just leave it.

When I enter that folder all i see there is log and tmp. Im using a exalt.

I just tried on 2 phones and they both showed up there. Maybe @lgexalter1 has any ideas as he's the expert on that phone.

Hi. I downloaded the Boldbeast app and when I try to grant permissions it shuts down and a message pops up saying that the app shut down since I did not grant permission. Does anybody know what I can do? (Thanks to FliphoneBochur for providing download instructions and commands)

crf 1st try uninstalling and reinstalling it. If you still can't click it with a mouse, try seeing if you could click it with SCRCPY.

ok in SCRCPY it gets pressed but then following message pops up:
There is another recorder working in your phone that blocks Boldbeast. Android allows only one recorder working, so you MUST remove ALL other recorders at first, otherwise Boldbeast will surely fail to record calls.

well there is a voice recorder built into the phone

crf You can try disabling com.lge.voicerecorder 'pm disable com.lge.voicerecorder', but im not sure its what you need
