So I noticed the Setup Wizard was always running on this device, and its a pretty big battery hog (around 20% since charge). Is it safe to delete this? Wasn't sure if it had other functions built in since its always there. Thanks.

Setup Wizard battery drain on DuraXV Extreme. Safe to delete?
Should be fine. Which device?
Biden2020prez In the title (DuraXV Extreme). 😃
I guess I'll try it. Weird cause I've never seen a setup wizard consistently wanna keep running. Hoping it wasn't tied to something else.
Im curious the package name
Main process package name is (Setup Wizard): jp.kyocera.poweronactivation
And the service started by it is called: CheckEnterpriseActiv... (its cutoff & can't see the rest).
Its been going nonstop lol.
sappypappy weird. if you kill it does it restart (adb shell pm force-stop jp.kyocera.poweronactivation)
Says Unknown command: force-stop
"Kill" doesn't seem to work either.
EDIT: Although I was able to stop it from the Dev menu. It hasn't started back up yet on its own.
Thanks. It seems to restart every reboot, but stays stopped after I do it manually.
Contemplating whether to delete it or not or if its there for a reason. Maybe its one of those things people never really noticed about this device, but whatever its doing is def sucking some battery.
sappypappy Yeah. phones these days have so much bloat!
Yep! The thing is, this phone doesn't even run a Setup Wizard upon a fresh factory reset, but there it is always running lol. Those sneaky Pete's!
Anyway, for those who have this device & you feel you aren't getting the battery life you think it should, enable your developer menu & check the Running Services option a couple ticks down. That just might be it.
sappypappy yeah. and its probably nothing important. but I don't know.
sappypappy Let us know if you delete it....
