after restarting my phone the phone no longer connects to my computer and I know for sure that there's no problem with the wire or computer I'm using and in the setting on the phone, it's on file transfer but it's still not being recognized on the computer but yet it only works to charge the phone if anyone can help!?

I had the same problem as you. Even though it seems like there's no problem with the wire, I watched a video, but I forgot most of the explanation (keep in mind I'm dumb). But all I remember is there's four wires within the cord. Two of those are for transferring data and the other two are for charging. A lot of cords simply cannot transfer data. If that is not the case, try figuring out how to get your phone on developer mode.

william I don't know your issue, sometimes it's even an issue with the computer. Does your phone work for ADB?

it's most defiantly not the wire bc the wire works for another exalt phone that I have

it doesnt register on the computer at all so no adb does not work

Try getting into the developer settings and enable USB debugging

william It could be the pins inside the port is damaged. Have a phone repair guy check it out.
