Letoeles harabaim we want to make people aware of fake LG Exalts that are being sold as brand new ones.

What the seller did was take old LG Exalt motherboards, buy fake parts from china such as fake screens, buttons, and
the phone body, and then put the old motherboard in the new casing. These parts are very low quality, the buttons are clunky, and the hinge get's creaky fast.

Please investigate and ensure that you are purchasing a real LG Exalt and not one of these fake garbage ones.

Countless people have paid a fortune for them only to find out a few weeks later how low quality the new parts are.

Apps4Flip-Admin Thank you! I have seen a few of these myself and they seem to be pretty bad in terms of quality. Thanks for putting the word out there! Anyone selling a phone that they refurbished should have to make it VERY clear that that is what it is!

Would love to see what your talking about. Any links?

I have bought from this seller on walmart and suspect that I got one of these problematic "fake" remade phones. Its not even sold as refurbished or used. feels very cheap the buttons and screen quality. came in a verizon box but clearly not the original, including not the regular lg charger. I guess the verizon box is to make you think its new. considering its $214.95 and not listed as used/refurb its hard to believe its legit. Even if it is used/refurb the market price for a seemingly clean/no scratches phone is a lot higher than this currently. Going to complain to walmart. BEAWARE.

From what I hear there are a lot of them going around the BP and Central Jersey Areas. Make sure you double check everything before purchasing one

So I have been playing around with one of these lately and I am getting this strange popup on the screen Not qfused. And then there is a notification that can dismiss it. Anyone have a clue what it means? Google didnt yield any results...

Flippy if it's the QFuse i think it is, it's an embedded security feature found in Qualcomm chips that once "blown" can't be reverted to it's original state. the values stored in QFuses are used to determine early on if the device is operating in a secure state and happens before the primary bootloader starts.

as far as I know most devices ship with their secure boot QFuse "blown" to prevent unsigned payloads from being loaded onto the device at the SoC level.

as to what this notification could mean, I haven't a clue. maybe the device might have been an uncertified testing unit sent to a carrier or some other agency.

Flippy I have it too.
Does it mean that it's fake.
Besides of that, I see some signs that it's not excactly the same
And the Battery isn't a LG Battery!

GiterYid Yes definitely fake. Where did you purchase it?

ordered one from amazon buttons looked a drop off and ended up breaking a week later, turns out it was fake

I also recently purchased one on ebay And get the same ''not Qfused" notification, is it fake?

Flippy

probably. Pls send link

The phone also appears different than other models, including keypad lighting and the center button

i have one, its not just the quality, the service is terrible people can't hear so well on phone calls.

if you tell verizon that you have this device defective they sometimes are able to send a replacement with the same make and model

Flippy

how long ago are you talking about? I havent heard any stories like that recently..

Techgen

Does anyone have experience with the exalts from cell2get.com? It's listed as certified refurbished, but I'm suspicious that it may be these fakes.

Techgen did you find out more? I also bought from them and now wonder if it’s legit. Just looks and feels different than my old one

Techgen

Bbz No, I didn't find out anything so I just told him not to get it until I find out, to be safe

Ewohis All/most say "Not Qfused" in the notifications every time you turn on the phone. If it says that it's definitely a fake.

Techgen I opened one of these up, every part is a knockoff, including the actual motherboard, made of flimsy materials. the camera is free hanging and all the parts are aftermarket parts, though if there was away to put the device to task and test it to see the speeds and all i would love to. like testing two different company sd cards to see which is more durable.

Flippy Interesting that i bumped into this thread as i was running adb commands to backup the entire device and then load the entire package back onto the device hoping the sms would go as well, but wasn't successful. Restarted the phone and then i was welcomed with this qfuse message but was happy to find that dismiss icon.

Flippy

Myi So you mean it can happen on a real Lg exalt? or you are talking about a fake one?

Techgen

Myi Yes since I posted that plenty of people reported them as fakes, rule of thumb nowadays is any exalt being sold for cheap online is most probably fake, and should be avoided. (Unless you want to buy it with a credit card that will give your money back and you want to deal with that hassle)

Flippy No, it was one of the fake ones.
I tried loading the entire package onto an empty new exalt hoping the SMS would backup as well.
But when I saw that didn't work I just wiped the whole phone and was welcomed with that qonfused message

Techgen To be honest for a $100 you can go wrong if this speed and everything about the phone works.
Again Wasn't used for long enough to know what issues there are, And what doesn't work like the real ones.

It sounds like it's just the parts that's bothering everyone that's fake, while the actual motherboard everyone seems to be OK with. Cmiiw.

Techgen the exalts from cell2get and electronicsforce are fake. The hardware and the service are lower quality than the real exalt and I've been told they don't work with Israeli sims though I can't confirm.
