Im using LINUX specifically POP OS in the terminal when I enter the commands given in the instruction do I need to already have the apk in a specific location on my local machine or on the phone itself. I dont really know if te command is compatible with Linux terminal I assumed it would be since its similar to MacOS. I read the instructions but im able to use adb on my motorola just fine for the very few things i need to do i think im missing something simple. I dont want to use webadb and was getting the ......"Unable to claim interface" error? . I killed adb kill server ect but I just want to use the regular ADB.

darren051 It's Prob easiest to just drag the apk on to the command terminal.

i got weather i forgot i needed to add adb install in front of the command but when I try to install the MOUSE i get this error

I noticed that there are other "variations" of the mouse in the forum this is the one from the HOME page

Jumptoheaven what about the error mesage for the script on the home page that says we need to run that command after installing the apk?

darren051 as Techgen Wrote, I don't think that you need to run any script for the Xp3. You can grant all permissions directly from the phones UI. I don't have the Xp3 myself, so I can't confirm this.
However, regarding the error that you're referring to, it can just be ignored and run the rest of the commands. if it still doesn't work, try running them again.

@YEG Same thickness, slightly taller and wider, the phone and apps are superfast, there are however a couple of issues, to my knowledge there is a problem installing the mouse (as described on this forum) and the texting is a little more annoying, plus a couple of minor issues...i did email sonim technologies to report these issues (except for the mouse issue) hopefully they fix them in an update

@YEG without a mouse, dont know if waze or maps is usable. Maybe you use voice access with it, dont know.

@YEG as for pricing, i think its $$210 from T-Mobile or Verizon

Is there a way to access the recent apps on the xp3 plus?

I successfully installed the Voice Access app, but I've noticed a few quirks and I'm curious if anyone has a solution.

1. In Settings > System > Programmable Keys I set "Select PTT Key app" to Voice Access. Now, if I hold down the push-to-talk button it starts Voice Access. The problem is, after I activate it it pauses for a moment and then moves back one menu. So, for example, if I'm looking at a text thread and I hold down PTT in order to enter voice-to-text, it will exit back to the list of text threads. I then have to click on the text I was just in and then it will let me speak and convert voice to text. Any way to stop it from doing this weird dance of exiting one menu back?
2. Under Settings > Accessibility > Voice Access > Settings > General there is an option to "Configure activation key". When you click Activation Key it lets you choose a key to turn on Voice Access, but there's no way to click "okay" to save your choice. Does this just not work on a flip phone? Or would the mouse somehow solve this?
3. I can't seem to interact with the tutorial. It prompts me to say "Okay Google" to activate Voice Access, but that does nothing. And when I'm in the tutorial my PTT key binding doesn't seem to work.

For number 2 what you can do is (this is what I did on the LG classic) turn on voice access before you click "Configure activation key" and then you can choose a key by pressing it and then say the number of the "ok" button to click it and finalize choice

Anyway to get recent apps?

L-B Thanks! I tried your suggestion and when I say the number it just changes the key I have selected to the menu button. It doesn't exit the menu. It's basically doing the exact same thing as when I manually click the "okay" key.

I wonder if there's a way to set this with adb.

mhrk494 I've seen this issue with the Kyocera duraxv extreme , I haven't seen a solution yet. All other phones work, but it sounds like you're having the same issue with the xp3 plus. As for the ppt key, that's not really a good solution anyway because it's just as if you press the voice access app, but then you have to wait till it stops listening (or say stop listening) and you don't have the option to press and hold because it's not really setting an activation key.

@mhrk have all the same problems with va, no solutions. Ive tried lowering th dpi because maybe the option to click "ok" wasjust getting cut out, no luck, I've tried using scrypy to scroll down to option to click "ok", wont scroll down...

Battery life is way better (2300mah on the xp3+ as opposed to 1500mah on the xp3) I use switchboard as a mouse on the xp3+ as I was happy with it on the old version
