I got a good version of google maps that works amazing on the exalt (With the mouse) just the only problem is that it needs to be "filtered" from getting access to google via settings etc..... I think there is a way but I don't know how, so if anyone knows how pls reply.

There is a similar problem with ButtonMapper. With Button mapper, (at least on the schok phone), one can program a button to launch google. Without external apps, google is completely inaccessible, and there is therefore no option to block it with the phones built in child Lock--browser blocker.
i think for the schok you also have to uninstall com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox through adb
