I've been trying to get message plus on the Lg UN220 (the us cellular model of the lg exalt). The issue that I ran into is that it wont install it because it comes from an unknown soucre. I know that on standard andriod , you can allow installation of apps from unknown sources, but there doesnt seem to be an option for that anywhere in the settings.

Any help?

You need to follow the sideload instructions and enable ADB debugging. You will also need specially-signed apps for these phones. I don't know the closest phone to the Exalt that is a smartphone but if I could get an Exalt for testing, I might be able to get an LGSettings setup for it.

xxdeafgirl any update on this? Im having the same problem...

using adb you can allow unknown sources possibly try this command
adb shell settings put global install_non_market_apps 1
or this command - adb shell settings put secure install_non_market_apps 1

Flippy
