Does the filter take off also the email ? And will it block the apps from this website from working ?

Yes, you can install it without a pc, just download the apk and install it through your phones file manager.

I think the filter was taken down cause there is a glitch that messaging was automatically getting blocked did anyone else have this issue ?

Yes if you don’t want to block messages don’t use it and @apps4flip maybe remove it or add comment that it will block messages automatically

@Macher Can you confirm this? I have heard many cases of it working just fine.

I think the problem is only with the mirror one you sent out because I downloaded it from the website and it worked perfectly fine or they made messaging grey when they set up the filter

Apps4Flip-Admin I had the problem on 3 phones I tried the first time on lg un 220 and it blocked messages the I thought it’s just the wrong phone it not a Verizon one so I tried it on lg classic and it also blocked messages and later I tried it on the lg exalt also had a problem I had to call gen tech spoke with they said there looking into it and removed it from there website. Then they gave me removal codes

@Businessy21 it's not on there website just checked and @Yms don't know every time diff you have to go to tag or call gen tech

Macher I the same problem and even more I want to block email and video and it's not blocked so if someone can help me to uninstall the old version to be able to install the new one

yk9813 the problem is not the filter you did it wrong when you installed it. pink means it should work and not be blocked grey means to block it and you probably did the oposite

Macher I have this problem too. I installed it on 2 phones. I emailed them and they said that they don't offer support for this filter, and there's nothing for me to do.
Can you tell me how you contacted them? and who you contacted?

Thats not good service so basically your phone now is worthless. This is why I think I will try the meshmer or tag filter.

Whats the deal with the new waze and gentech filter?

Apps4Flip-Admin as noted by many others, this apk is defective. It automatically blocks text messaging.
I called the manager at Gentech and he was really annoyed, since they had already removed it from their website. He almost refused to help me. He told me to go to whoever I got the apk from.

Please remove it (or put a notification about the issue) so that others don't get stuck.

techy On the apps4flip website we tell everyone to go to filterlg.com . The mirror was put up on the forums as a favor to people who wanted it while gentech took it down. Anyone that is coming to the forums will also read the rest of the thread and realize that they should go to the main site and not download the mirror as it has problems. We will take it down when we get a chance.

The new version of the gentech filter doesn’t block text
all options work but text doesn’t get blocked

GOLDFISH if the phone doesn’t have the new software version it could get reset with gentech filter when pressing the volume down and end key together when statrting phone because the new software update doesn’t have the option from reset phone when pressing volume down and end together when starting so I reset it but the text doesn’t get blocked with there filter

Myi Yes the GenTech filter. I don't think you can have apps.
If you want it removed you'd probaly have to go to TAG.
