the link in http://filterlg.com/ to download the filter doesn't work
reim filterlg will block resetting your phone
Apps4Flip-Admin filtering will also block me from installing apps i wanaa block reset and stay with the apps. is there a way? (on the Kyocera phone)
reim Use the adb method, but it does not block resets
@Apps4Flip-Admin Also will installing the gentech filter on the LG classic not give me the ability to use the apps if they already installed?
is possible to modify the gentech filter so they don't mark apps from apps4flip.com as unknown ?
@yk9813 We are working with gentech on this, please be patient
is there a adb command to disable or block or uninstall the following
factory reset, mobile Hotspot, and update center?
Hi @Apps4Flip-Admin what filter do you recommend for LG VN220 to be able to still use apps after filtered? Thank you for all that you do!
Msing be aware that it's possible to sign into an email account even without the browser. Just click manual sign in, in the options. And use imap.
Apps4Flip-Admin any updates ?
@Msing if you put in your password first then your email address you can sign in without a browser no need for imap
Macher for Gmail?
Jumptoheaven yes
yk9813
You can do ""adb shell pm list packages"" to see whats installed, then uninstall with adb, for example:
pm uninstall -k --user com.lge.hotspotlauncher
will uninstall the hotspot on the exalt
Macher I think you're talking about when the browser hasn't been removed (via adb). In which case the phone opens the browser automatically.
Once the browser is removed, it isn't possible without imap.
Google wouldn't allow any random email app to connect to Gmail. Either you sign in online or you use imap.
Jumptoheaven I think some apps allow you to sign in to gmail/google through their app, i'm pretty sure the one I use -Aquamail- had it like that, but im not sure, i set it up a while ago
Jumptoheaven even with no browser ((yes removed with adb or gen tech filter ) you need to first go into google gmail settings and allow unsecured apps then you can sign in by putting the password then email I did it tons of times for me and my friends
Techgen most email apps have some email providers saved as presets. For example the email app on the exalt has, Yahoo, AOL, outlook, Microsoft exchange, etc.
I would imagine that they either have a deal with those email providers, or they have the imap preset.
But I could be wrong 😏
Use whatever works for you.
Macher I'm glad it worked for you. I tried that (including allowing unsecure apps) and it didn't work for me.
It worked tons of times do it ((allow unsecured apps) and right away and sign in cause if you don’t I find that it automatically goes back to not allowing unsecured apps
Macher a friend of mine told me that it worked for him too, so IDK maybe you're right.
Jumptoheaven Do you maybe have MFA setup on your gmail?
@Apps4Flip-Admin just want to make sure that you still work on the livigent filter to be able to use your apps.
@Apps4Flip-Admin Does the lg exalt block from kosher apps for flip take off browser for good? is there a way to get it back if i ever would want?
exalter123 From what I understand it removes it the same as removing with adb, which should come back if the phone is reset
Anyway to remove or block the browser on sonim xp3 flip phone without it affecting anything else on the phone?
Gratitudetocreator You can block with the built in applock on the xp3 called safeguard in sonim scout. and you can uninstall with adb
adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.android.browser
Techgen I have nothing from the safeguard if I wanna use it for to lock other apps say when I lend my phone! It's one password for everything. So doing that thing through adb should remove it completely?
Techgen and also wanna know if it removes it completely? Meaning it wouldn't show up in menu or its just gonna be blocked/ inaccessible?
Gratitudetocreator yes, unless you factory reset
Techgen will it still show up in menu?
Techgen sorry one more question here. Is it same command for any other app I wanna remove? For example I would like to remove the radio app (that came with the phone) too
Gratitudetocreator I'm assuming it won't, on the exalt it takes it off. Most people use safeguard on the xp3, so I don't know for sure. You may need to restart the phone before it removes it from the menu
Gratitudetocreator it's the same command, you just need to find out the package name. You can do adb shell pm list packages radio to find it
Techgen thanks a million. I really appreciate your help.
Techgen how can I find the package name of any given app?
Gratitudetocreator adb shell pm list packages lists all the packages installed on the phone, adb shell pm list packages -s will only show system apps, -3 will only show 3rd party apps. You can also add a keyword you want to search for at the end such as, adb shell pm list packages waze
